有时候无意间看到一部好的电影,犹如拣到宝。因为本来抱的希望不大,看完crash后,我居然有着醺醺然的感觉。
本来是随便一看,奔着Sandra Bullock去,结果影片无论从内容、形式还是班底来讲,都出乎意料。Sandra Bullock在这个影片中的作用,约等于jolia roberts在江洋12盗里的作用。

I thought I reviewed the movie here, but looks like I didn't say much.2) 周末去看了Crash, 不看Kingdom of Heaven。Crash吸引我不仅因为影评很好,而且对我来说有点怀旧的意思。看完了,觉得的确挺有洛杉矶本地色彩的,然后感慨地想,我老人家对洛城还是有些感情的啊,虽然我并不想搬回去住。剧本写得不错,导演是Paul Haggis,是改编Million Dollar Baby的那个爱尔兰人。剧情我就不复述了,反正是许多人的许多生命线交错碰撞的类型,类似于PT Anderson的木兰花和Robert Altman的抄近路。各个故事的中心点只有一个,就是种族偏见,所有人对所有人的偏见。而且全片围绕着一个device展开,就是汽车。这两样都是极其典型的洛杉矶特色:每个人都把自己隔离在汽车里,每个种族群都隔离在自己人的社区里,彼此是远在天边的近邻。
抄近路这名字让我想了半天,:idea: 原来是short cuts啊。当时还觉得《短片集》字面对得蛮工整,根本没反应过来第二层意思。也是“偏”见,攻其一点不及其余。
)。少少遗憾就是后半部绷得太紧,怎么说呢,每个角色都要有个交待吧,everyone is given sth to think about,布置作业把大小偏见拗一拗正那样的。 
总结的好。crash对我也是意外之喜,因为海报月黑风高暗影憧憧,预设是冤案黑幕逃亡追杀等等故事。咦我又惹偏见这一障。看完就很high,还在脑子里画人物关系图。比抄近路(也在LA?)紧密很多,好像大家住在小小星球。不过看的时候一路小跑,没空停下来牢骚“世界这么大怎么偏偏遇上他”,可能因为情景对话都好真(咦你又知道真假了你见过几多城里人你又不在LA所有人对所有人的偏见。

Remember she complained that, when he got a call on his cell, it must have been the assistant again. And recall the way he looked at his assistant when his wife called him on the phone asking him to come home early. Without this (another) interracial element, this strand would be only a commentary on class relationship between the wife and her maid.
