On 60 Minutes (November 26, 2006) there is a report about a young man (boy, actually) who is a genius composer. He went to Juliard and wrote symphonies at 11 or 12.

Very interesting.

He's amazing! Imagine always have a song pouring out of his mind, what a happy state to be. :music004:
I do notice that he started "composing" at two, had his symphony performed on stage at twelve. That's ten years, minimum time requirement for one to become a master of his domain, he didn't break the record.:yinyang: Nice try though! :admir001:

I remember seeing another program, possible also on 60 Minutes, about a rare congenital disorder that causes blindness, developmental retardation, and musical genius. There was this black jazz musician in the 30s or 40s, blind, retarded, and played piano with spontaneous brilliance without any training. The same disorder.

I'm telling you, artistic genius is all biological. Either you've got it or you don't. (I'm still trying to convince myself that writing fiction is different, because language is more abstract and less directly instinctive.)

这一期60分钟不是还说一个如何消除不快乐记忆的事,不是和eternal sunshine那电影里一样了么。
