我始终不明白别人家里的事，包括卧室成员和遗产继承，有什么好拿出来让大众投票的。如果说是为了“潜在的不道德”，为啥又不讨论老夫少妻，老妻少夫，小后妈大儿子，掘金婚姻？西班牙这么清这么纯的天主教国家都合法化了，也没有就塌下来。

同性恋是否可以合法结婚，这不全是一个同性恋本身是否合法或者道德的问题，而是一个平等权力的问题。
民事法律是否应该区别对待与多数人不同的少数人的平等权力，这是一个原则问题。
即使认为同性恋行为是不道德的，仍然要考虑是否应该用道德标准来限制各人法律上的平等权力。不应该混为一谈。
例如，在公共场合里宣传纳粹三K党的言论，多数人会认为是不道德的，但是第一宪法修正案保护言论自由。我前年去Harper's Ferry就遇到过一群人在那里集会，周围的警察比集会的三K党还多，保护他们不受围观民众的骚扰。

去看county by county的结果，除了湾区和santa barbara，别的全部都投yes，包括LA。美国说到底还是个保守国家。
和大众讲道理，和风细雨，就事论事是讲不通的。

共和党被打败了，总得有人出来负责啊。 麦肯这老头大概是娶了个有钱的漂亮太太， 过惯了舒逸的日子， 早就没了当年越战时的血气。 得，那就把palin拉出来：瞧， 都是这个笨女人， 把事情搞砸了。。。 说穿了，各位大老爷们心头郁闷阿，摆个沙包出来，打上一拳， 揣上一脚，有益身心健康阿。 有了革命的本钱，将来才能更好地为党为米国人民服务呀。反正palin不像mccain,在美国的政治地图上本来就算不得什么了不起的人物。。。

SARAH PALIN 再不合格也不说明她有什么问题。谁会期待她合格？MORON 哪里没有？MCCAIN 选了不合格的副总统竞选拍挡才是真正的问题所在。

Rahm Emanuel accepted the Chief of Staff position. I half expected him to turn down the offer.The next four years may be very interesting. I smell Mr. Prez pulling an LBJ. I just hope he does not make the LBJ mistake on Vietnam war.
