Post by DeBeers » 2005-07-11 7:54

:headscratch:

Yes. A car is a must in LA.

Hollywood is not really a defined area, but there should be plenty of places to visit, like the Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Hills, etc.

I have never been to Disneyland. It's in Anaheim, which is a bit far, but you don't need to stay in the vicinity if you have a car. I'm sure the hotels nearby are a rip-off.

Have FUN! (it's going to be very hot though. Bring sunblock)

soaring in california 很棒。

:super:

just a side note: i came across some extremely aggressive, no, more like stark raving mad, drivers near LA... coming from me that's saying something. so be careful when driving and have fun!

:rabbit001:

San Diego to Anaheim should be around 100 miles, but do expect traffice most time of the day.

Ravaged you can no longer qualify for a Boston driver. :-)

hehe, i'm totally mourning the loss of my bad-ass rap! my friends there were like, "yeah you shouldn't worry about cops, coz you're from the east coast! you guys are mellow! i heard over there the left lane is only used for passing! (thunderous laughter)" :hum: what do you say to that? :-D

anyway, i'd say go to the sea world, even though it's a total and unabashed tourist trap. the reason is simply that everybody goes... and there're some good shows. (make sure to get to the shamu shows at least 15 minutes in advance, and that's on a weekday...) i did like the zoo a lot, but it's definitely time-consuming. the express shuttle saved my life (or feet).
