Obama has been in the Senate for a few years already and Craig must have had plenty of access. Hmm ... I wonder how many Congressmen and Senators have been living in the closet and eating tofu with the young and handsome fellow legislators. I have heard of plenty of horror stories about harrassment of female staff on the Capitol Hill by dirty old paws. Then there are all those young pages ... Heck someone ought to do a Grey's Anatomy type of TV show about the Capitol Hill. Remember the staff intern, Jessica something, who caused a scandal (at least in this city) by talking about sleeping with rich old men for money on her blog? And, remember Ann Coulter calling John Edwards a "fag"?

哦，关于弯男弯女――最近这个话题大热啊――的区别，小k刚完结的热门小说不是有精辟叙述嘛。男女对于commitment的热衷程度不一样哈。

用乔治的话来说，男同志能维持一年长的关系相当于普通人维持十年，长距离又得乘以五，所以他们俩有资格庆祝金婚纪念。下半截子话当然是：蕾丝边一年相当于普通人一个月，她们总是第一个约会就互诉爱意，第二个约会就海誓山盟，第三个..没有第三个约会，因为已经同居了。

Incidentally, I'm reading Blink and just encountered a passage about Bill Clinton that's almost identical to Craig's judgment of him.

In Blink, Gladwell wrote about a psychologist named Ackman who studied and catelogued people's facial expressions and through his work is able to read people's faces with peerless precision. Ackman described Bill Clinton as he saw Clinton on TV in 1992:

"I turned to my wife and said: This is a guy who wants to be caught with his hand in the cookie jar and have us love him for it anyway. He has this favorite expression, that hand-caught-in-the-cookie-jar-but-love-me-mommy-because-I'm-a-rascal look. It's xx muscle with xx-muscle with an eye roll."

Ackman even called Clinton's staff at the time and offered to train Clinton to change this expression -- "Clinton has this facial expression with an eye roll, and what it conveys is 'I'm a bad boy.' I don't think it's a good thing. I could teach him how not to do that in 2 or 3 hours."

The Clinton people turned him down. And Clinton got caught after all.

It's hilarious.
