She is got "it"

I would say "he/she got class", or "he/she has good taste".

She has got no class.

He/she looks cheap. :-D

I'm not sure this concept is entirely about looks or taste in fashion.

thanks for all the replies.

I normally say "she's got the full package", or "it's her attitude that makes her attractive".

but Jun is right, it is very context-based.

Posted: 2008-02-19 13:45

Gee, having 气质佳 in an ad is like claiming "I'm ugly." Not a good choice of words... (It's like describing a house on sale as "cozy.")

You can also use "refined". That's a compliment reserved for a beautifully dressed grand dame with exquisite manners.

Posted: 2008-02-19 13:52
by CAVA

哈,让我夸女性,通常是she looks nice, she seems smart, she has a pretty face而已。

Had I not been heterosexual, I would want to sleep with her.

你偶尔也含蓄点嘛 :preston_collar:

oh, yeah, "aura"...I once tried to seek help from a native-speaker about this( I know I sound obsessive.. :-) ), and that's the word he came up with.."aura"..but never heard anyone using this word since.. :-)

This is already the 含蓄 version...

Hmm... As long as someone who is unspeakably hot and full of animal magnetism is willing to volunteer in the monumental task of converting me into a homosexual, I'd say why not? Come and seduce me. (Pre-requisite: You have to be sexy and beautiful and rich and willing to adopt me as the heir of your considerable fortune. I accept trust funds too. Also I am not attracted to either men or women who are too skinny.)

Yeah, if Angelina Jolie insists, you might accept the invitation.

She is way too bony for me. Xiao K is projecting her fantasy on me. No no. I prefer some meat on the skeleton.

What if she throws Brad Pitt in for free? Are you still going to say no?

wa Jun, how many times have you rehearsed this statement? it sounds really fluent and eloquent

Told you she is bicurious :hum:
I think the girl for you, Jun, is Britney. She is plump, as you like it. She is vulnerable and needs your good advice on mental health. She is hot. She is rich. And she is so crazy that very likely she will adopt you.

Are you kidding? Brad Pitt does nothing for me. (Although I might consider her ex-hubby...) You must have mistaken me with Dr. Tiff.

Ugh. Blond, dumb, stoned bimbos. Ugh. :hum: (Note the same can be said about Mr. Jolie.) You can't pay me to even talk to them. Ugh. :p

I did not see Intelligent, drug free and dark featured in your "As long as" list! Ok Jun, you are not homosexual, bisexual or even hetrosexual. You are pickisexual. :f28:

Posted: 2008-02-19 14:47
by Jun
Maybe I'm not picky, but rather it's all a matter of 气质, or more precisely a matter of 气 --- the matching odor between two people. That may be ALL there is to sexual attraction.

(I have to modify my claim about blondes. Phil Hoffman is blond.)

Wait a min. What if your taste in woman is as... unique as your taste in man?

这个。。。汗。。。

Brad Pitt

BRAD PITT

Xiao K prefers the type of looks of Clive Owen and Daniel Craig? :cat88:

I don't understand what people see in Angelina Jolie. She looked weird even in her younger days. Now she looks weirder with skin and bones.

Posted: 2008-02-21 10:34
by Knowing
Yup, Clive Owen would be my No.1 choice. But I am not that picky. Daniel Craig is acceptable.
