早上我去茶水间给自己做杯红奶茶，尚未进门在走廊里看到两个中等身材的印度人一个背靠着靠墙的桌台面，一个背靠着卖垃圾食品的机器，对面而立。我正好能看到背靠着桌台面的脸，他一头一英寸大的卷儿，年纪很轻，小四方扁扁脸本该有点趣致的模样，现在凝重地扭曲着眼睛关注地注视着对方。此时我已经进到茶水间里面。他们俩背墙而立我只能从两个人之间凝重的空气中若无其事地走过，坚持着没看另一个人。我脸面墙在台面上做奶茶，两个印度人自我进门后都没有说话，然后我听到背后有个吸溜吸溜吸鼻子的声音。我更加震撼了，难道我没看到脸的这个人在哭？我若无其事地走到墙角饮水机加热水。只听得吸溜鼻子的印度人用一种很凝重又轻描淡写的声音说：“I still have glass in my head.” 他的语速比正常印度人说话要慢了很多倍。 我还没太醒，他这句话是什么意思呢？刺激还在大脑皮层。然后又是停顿，小扁扁脸过了一会儿轻声问了句，吸溜鼻子接着缓慢清晰而轻描淡写地说：“会在我脑袋里一辈子的，我也做过手术什么的。。。”这个时候我的水满了，我只能端着杯子走出了早晨的惊悚片断，临走坚强地瞟了一眼吸溜鼻子，他有着一式一样的一英寸卷儿卷发，小方扁扁脸，年纪大很多。

Voice 1 (male, tall, bald, fit, moderately handsome, 35-40, a whiff of veteran): I came back a day late, because the plane from Botswana had some mechanical problems. Now I just want to sleep. (smile)
Voice 2 (female, about 30, tanned, plain, long dark hair): I was a day late too. Stuck in Boston. I was in Italy, but the plane had mechanical problem in Boston.
Voice 1: Were you on vacation in Italy?
Voice 2: Yes.
1: I thought you went to Malawi with xxx.
2: No, xxx went himself.
1: ... Nairobi ... (going out to the elevator).
