我看电影，对原声音乐好听的总是高看一眼。常常看完电影之后，把原声音乐也听了又听。一般这种电影，导演不会只有这一部片子音乐好，而是具有配乐的习惯。
比如Anthony Migella,我看过的The English Patient,The Talented Mr. Ripley,Cold Mountain这三部，都有精彩的音乐。
又比如Richard Curtis的“四婚一葬”和Love Actually，充满了导演对流行音乐的口味。新片Pirate Radio还没看，有CAVA的推荐，品质可以期待。
上面这俩都是英国人，美国的导演里Clint Eastwood也是喜欢认真配音乐的一位。我最早喜欢上电影音乐就是看他有关Savannah小城的电影，Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil。
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil原声专辑里面的那些美国南方风味的歌儿，太是我的那杯茶了，mp3 player换个几代，这张专辑总是收在里面，常常听。
这些歌的演唱者，除了导演自己和闺女，基本都是大腕儿。Alison Krauss，Tony Bennett，Rosemary Clooney（大帅哥George Clooney的姑姑）。其中我最喜欢是kd lang唱的Skylark，神经紧张或者失眠时，听了就会舒缓下来。
另外男主角Kevin Spacey唱了一首That Old Black Magic，也很不错---他后来演了一部片子Beyond the Sea，有关歌者Bobby Darin的，全部歌曲都自己配唱，据说是之前唱That Old Black Magic时得到的自信。
这个爵士风格的专辑里，却没有我喜欢的歌手Diana Krall，不知是当时她还不够出名，还是怎么的，Clint Eastwood竟没有找她。里面的歌儿，有些我听过Diana Krall翻唱过---他们这些爵士歌手，有很多歌儿都是老歌，翻唱的版本多极了。
但是具体最初版本是哪个，我也没有细究，直到前几天听新鲜空气才发现，原来Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil这个电影里的歌儿，作词几乎全是一个人---Johnny Mercer。他最著名的作品之一是《月亮河》！而他就出生在Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil发生的地方Savannah！啊哈，敢情这都是Clint Eastwood做电影原声音乐时刻意的安排。

Nora Ephron的Sleepless in Seattle和You've Got Mail的音乐也很好听，与Richard Curtis选曲的风格有点类似。
Anthony Minghella喜欢跟同一个班底合作，作曲用的同一个人也有可能，象David Lean一样，连着几部都是Maurice Jarre。日瓦格医生的音乐有一种haunting的美丽。
我的啊哈时刻是Ennio Morricone，当然他是作曲家了，不限定于一个导演的作品。The Mission里那首Gabriel's Oboe是我最喜欢的曲子之一，后来看了天堂电影院，才知道是同一个人作的曲。
另外百听不厌的是Michael Nyman的钢琴课score，Howard Shore的指环王。

MOON: What an amazing thing this was. Bluegrass music has been around a long, long time, and you couldn't have anticipated that it would have woven its way into popular culture in the year 2000 and beyond as a result of a movie soundtrack.
BLOCK: And T-Bone Burnett, the producer on this, right?
MOON: Yes, T-Bone, and this is one of these records that really shows what the art of a producer can bring to a recording because some of the people that he's working with are old-timers. The great Ralph Stanley, who is one of the pioneers of bluegrass, had not been really well-recorded for a while. And when you hear Ralph Stanley on this record, his voice is just amazing. It's like larger than life.
