今早在NPR听到的新闻，主持人还在讨论他说的是*A* man，还是Man，又说他本应得到更多的关注，但他大半生都在寂寂无闻中度过了。
想起很多很多科幻片都在引用他的那一段话，老以为是古早的事儿了，其实也没多少年。

I disagree. Actually he was a celebrity of sorts and even ran for Congress once or twice. He was far more famous than any other astronauts, even though he was not the only person who went on the moon.

总之我不认为他可以说是“寂寂无闻”。真正送火箭上月球的科学家才是寂寂无闻呢。

但是当科学家没有生命危险。

也不一定。居里夫人就是因为辐射病早死。她老公车祸前辐射病也很严重了。我们小时候高考父母就不让学化学，觉得太危险了。

不过科学家当然是寂寂无闻的多。就说这么多届诺贝尔奖得主，公众能记住的又有几个？

说的是他的后半生吧，他刚登月回来那段时间肯定还是热了一阵子，但后来几十年就没啥响儿了。
不过科学家们肯定更无名是真的，另外两个没说上话的人我就连名字都不知道了。
