I strongly recommand <Bad Santa>, (not family entertainment though, too much swearing for kids). It is so hilarious, weird, dark yet heartwarming.

i think clint eastwood got work done. his forehead is stretched as taut as nicole kidman's, and as pale and frighteningly wrinkle-free for that matter. both have the same receding hairline, too. hmmm... i honestly couldn't bear to look at the TV when the camera was on him.

fashion-wise this is just another boring oscar... nothing too great. none of the usually hot men looked hot either.

penelope cruz and salma hayak should spend half of their earnings on an english coach. there's seriously no way for them to turn mainstream with their command of the language. not saying they should, but they seem to have chosen hollywood themselves. so... put in the work!

i think zhang ziyi launched a thousand articles in the chinese press for each word she uttered in english... no matter how many extra syllables she threw in there, it was still one sentence. i'm amazed by how she (or her agent) milked the publicity.

yeah jim carrey didn't even get nominated this year, despite his brilliant performance it. Nor did he get one for Man on the Moon. Not sure about True Man Show.

Globe once gave him best actor for comedy movie for man on the moon and true man show, and you can tell from his speech that he didn't feel quite easy for that either

其实billy bod thorton的电影我都挺喜欢看的，不管人家说他有多变态，我还是觉得他挺有才的。

Jim Carey拿第2个金球的时候致谢辞说，I feel like Tom Hanks at Oscar，因为他那个金球是back to back的。我在图书馆订的eternal sunshine终于到了，还没抽出时间去取。

这届奥斯卡chris rock那段在附近电影院采访那段挺讽刺的，那些提名电影广大黑人群众都没看过。

说实话我觉得那段采访有些过了。还不如他在颁奖前夕那些赤裸裸的断言呢。那些提名电影其实广大白人群众就看过了么？

bill thorton是挺有才的。我依稀记得他好象曾经是摇滚歌手可是？

jim carey那个致词我也记得很清楚。自从true man show后他就正剧、喜剧的轮换着接，可惜好象直到现在还是没有被主流完全接受。。。

不过那些片子，我也没看过哎，连white chicks都没看过 lol:

他那段说奥斯卡以后应该在停车场颁奖，来个drive-through lane也笑得我不行，实在是大多致谢辞又臭又长，要是人人都学motocycle diary拿最佳插曲奖的那位，唱几句就chiao就好乐。

奥斯卡最佳男主角我还没总结出规律，最佳女主角，通常牺牲形象的或者演残疾都会拿奖，象去年的charlize theron，前年的nickole kidmann，再前几年的hilary swank，还有演钢琴课的holly hunter， etc.

billy bob thorton多才多艺，会编剧导演演戏，拿过奥斯卡最佳编剧奖。高中时是乐队鼓手，还出过CD.

可是好看的男孩子一般演技都很一般般。

而且我发现长得好的确对表演的效果有负面影响，一张人人熟悉的万里挑一的脸，要他去演个贩夫走卒，经历普通人的七情六欲，重重打击，实在不能让人信服，也不容易让观众有认同感和同情心。所以Sideway里面的 loser 主角由Paul Giamatti 来演就特别合适，换了Jude Law就让人觉得他是在玩弄别人或者无病呻吟。所以我虽然喜欢Monster's Ball里Halle Berry的表演，还是觉得她对这个角色不合适，太美了。
