Dancing With the Stars 2014

往年这个节目我都是不看的，盖因对 ballroom dance 不太有兴趣。今年必须追一下，那是为了看 Meryl Davis 和 Charlie White，他们乘着奥运冠军的顺风上电视节目。四年前 Evan Lysacek 获得奥运男单冠军之后也曾上 DWTS 节目，最后没得第一，但是1992年奥运的女单冠军 Kristi Yamaguchi 倒是在 DWTS 上拿过第一。

但是，这些男单女单都跟搞冰舞的选手没法比。冰舞选手那是平时在地面上也练过舞厅舞的，虽然在冰上重心和移动技术跟地面跳舞有所不同，但是整体实力和经验算是非常接近专业 dancers 了。更不用说 ...

今年的 DWTS 参赛名单公布之后，The Wire 杂志登了一篇文章，非常好笑，但也很可靠：

Why Meryl Davis Will Destroy This Year's 'Dancing with the Stars' Competition

Not satisfied with the taste of Olympic gold and two years of toying with her Canadian rivals, Meryl Davis has her eyes set on the Mirror Ball— the prize of the (crossout) Hunger Games (/crossout) Dancing With the Stars competition. This of course means that the Capitol public will be treated to a Katniss Everdeen-like domination of all the other tributes celebrities. Charlie White, Meryl's non-sexual Olympic partner, will even be in the games, giving us a cute Katniss-Peeta parallel to play with. But make no mistake, it will be murder on the dance floor— an utter bloodbath because unlike Katniss Everdeen and her berries, Meryl does not play.

Davis, White, and a whole crew of "celebrities" like Drew Carey, Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years), and Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner from Full House) will be competing this year. They're fine. Like a Real World reunion, it's nice to see all these celebrities who have been out of the public eye sporting new haircuts, possible weight loss, and full sets of teeth. But let's be clear, they're just foxtrot fodder.

目前 DWTS 才进行了四星期，比赛已经象作者预测的方向发展。非常有趣的是，两人一分开，立刻证实了冰迷如我的一贯论点：Meryl 是这一对搭档的灵魂，Charlie 只是个邻家大男孩，可爱但是气场弱多了。

Meryl 就是专业水平加强大气场。

太可怕了，这是屠杀嘛，其他选手都不在一个水平线上。
这差不多是我见过最快的Agentina tango了，脚底下真干净啊，就一个小毛病，她作那个前翻的时候脚多踮了一小步，也可能是男单膝跪的距离远了一点。
Charlie White的脚下太软，不够grounded，差好多，上身还可以。看来那些judge跟我感觉一样。

我看的时候就觉得 Charlie 的胯完全没扭。结果 Len Goodman 一上来就说，你那不是伦巴。冰舞规定舞里也有伦巴，但是极少人做得到扭胯的程度，裁判也不管。

上星期 Charlie 跳 Tango 也很好笑，要他扮演一个 bad boy，立刻傻了。

她不比赛已经多年，当年在挪威获得奥运银牌已经是二十多年前！不过看起来身手还挺敏捷的嘛。

很轻盈啊，到底是有底子的。英国同个节目里我瞄见过几眼，前足球运动员跳舞太可怕，敦实的像块砖头。
