可我总觉得中医是在这个过程中加强了个人免疫系统的能力, 而不仅仅是减轻症状
Oh, really?

Pardon me for being skeptical.
那么说得了肝炎是不是病毒一直带着?
Hepatitis A is not chronic and goes away soon after an episode of acute illness.
Hepatitis B, once infected, may go away in some people and not leave any chronic problems. The infected will carry anti-hep B antibody (not sure if for life). In some infected people (we don't know why) the virus remains in the liver and slowly causes damage to the tissue and may be transmitted to other people. If I remember correctly (but don't quote me), about 20% of hep B carriers end up having liver cancer or cirrhosis (hardened and scarred liver tissue).
Hepatitis C has a much higher rate of causing chronic and more serious liver disease or cancer than either A or B and is less likely go away on its own.
