短短4天的旅行，不论是里程(近2500英里，休斯顿到丹佛的单程为1100英里) ，
还是海拔(在 Mount. Evans 的顶峰，是14,264英尺，

都是前所未有。虽然一直都是坐在车里，并没有象前两次的旅行长时间地爬山，但精力和体力仍然极度透支，回到家后，足足休整了一周才觉得可以应付日常生活。

WIKI对 Mount Evans Scenic Byway 的介绍

Construction began in 1917 and concluded on October 4, 1927. The Mount Evans Scenic Byway is now the highest paved road in North America.

Near the summit stands the University of Denver's Meyer-Womble Observatory. At 14,148 feet (4,312 m) it is the second highest telescope in the world. The ruins of the Crest House (1941-1942) sit nearby. Containing both a restaurant and a gift shop, it burned down on September 1, 1979 and was not rebuilt, but remains as a place of contemplation today. The rock foundation and walls remain as a windbreak for mountain travelers.

答白金，是开自己的车去的，Corrola。觉得租车太麻烦了些。

答knowing，Mt Evans 的路的确很险，我觉得拍的照片没有很好地反应出实景带来的震撼和让人敬畏的效果。上去是我开的。坐在驾驶位上逆行，紧挨着山崖，心理压力还不算太大。在山顶待了4，5个小时后，出现了恶心，头痛等高原反应，只好赶快下山，坐在乘客位上，虽然时速也就10迈，但就胆战心惊，觉得马上要掉下去了。还有人开着RV上去，真不容易。

是的是的，很多地方连个栏杆都没有。每次下山我都想这要是下了雨一不小心。。。

险归险，也也没听说过什么事故。

在那里实际上只待了两天，天气都很好。这次多亏到达前一晚的大雨，有幸看到了双彩虹和云雾里的ROCKY，实在是意外的收获。
