"War Dance" is a documentary telling the story of three kids in the war zone, northern Uganda. The rebels took away their families, yet they survived and tried to heal the wounds through singing and dancing.
I saw this in the UNAFF film festival. It is absolutely stunning: the cinematography and the directing are of master class, let alone the heart wrenching story. The director/cinematographer Sean Fine is from a photographer family and worked for National Geo for years.
The movie will be shown in NY/LA starting Nov9 and everywhere else Dec.

An amazing family. The father is a spacecraft scientist, the mother is a software engineer. They saved up for years and boom... they took their two kids to start a journey around the world!
They planned everything ahead: asking their mother to send them textbooks for the kids every month, bringing a DIY bike repair toolbox so they could bike from London to Istanbul (literally!)... Yet they had to make a detour since their daughter broke her leg midway, and rode out for 10 hours just to find an ATM in Africa.
Guess the money they spent? Check out the site yourself.
