Halloween 之前两天，我们楼里的电梯里贴了一个告示：Resident's who want to entertain trick-or-treater's please sign up at the front desk.
我看了就浑身发痒，但是随身没带笔。第二天再进电梯发现已经被人改了，两个大叉叉把两个 apostrophes 给划掉了。原来楼里有编辑职业病的不止我一个。

apostrophe abuse看着是挺别扭的。
。这以后我就再不会用错了。

Correct: The team's loss was due to the absence of the star player Kevin Johnson.
Also correct: The team lost because of the absence of the star player Kevin Johnson.
茶花，"because of you" 里面的 you 不是 because of 修饰的对象，而是跟在介词 of 后面的。例如上面最后一句例子，"because of the loss of star player..." 修饰 lost。
