这个纸箱子给拖进了实验室，由台湾新爹签收，他以为是我的就抱到我的阴暗角落来。可是我最近没定实验东西，看箱子上送货标签也看不出来是谁的，乃取手术刀划开胶带，一掏，掏出来一大卷包装填体积用牛皮纸，再掏，又是一大卷包装填体积用牛皮纸，我探头进箱子一看，在另外两大卷包装填体积用牛皮纸排挤下，小媳妇儿似的挤在箱子角儿有个可怜兮兮的装载塑料袋的小瓶子。我心说，这么不环保！把塑料袋捞在手里，牛皮纸还装回箱子，箱子扔门口，待收走。研究小瓶子上的标签，上书什么什么硫酸。我跟那儿想会是谁的，只见台湾新爹对着另一个纸箱子发呆。这个纸箱子里还装了个泡沫塑料做的密封盒子，揭开盒子盖儿，里面是干冰，干冰小圆柱簇拥下是个结了霜冻得硬邦邦的瓶子。我接过台湾新爹手里的纸研究一二，确认这个是牛血清，就觉得应该是俄罗斯实验员儿或者印度及荷兰小娘养细胞用的东西。乃把小瓶和大盒子都放到俄罗斯实验员儿处。然后大家就该干吗干吗去了。公干好了回实验室，一推门正好看见俄罗斯实验员儿在称东西，乃询问他那个硫酸什么什么是不是他的，他肯定的点头说：是！补充说明说：是抗生素！我说啊！是嘛！进到自己桌前坐下，脑子里突然叮～的一声，悟到原来那就是我从小过敏的磺胺类药啊！

Amphetamine is not illegal. It is a controlled substance and must be prescribed by physicians and dispensed by pharmacists. Both must keep records for monitoring by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Whoever takes the drug must be under physicians' supervision.
At the dosage given to treat ADHD, dependence and addiction are very rare but not impossible. The risk of addiction is higher in adults but seems to be very very low in children with ADHD.
Cocaine is not illegal either. Both cocaine and heroin are Schedule 1 controlled substance. Morphine is Schedule 2. Controlled substances are separated into 5 schedules and regulation gets tighter from Schedule 5 to 1.

我的理解是Amphetamine就是speed?那么说它跟crystal meth 一样是合法药物被滥用？还是剂量够小（就象咳嗽糖浆和以前的鼻炎片）一样就没事？

I may be mistaken, but I don't think methamphetamine is legal.
Amphetamine is legal if it is manufactured and distributed through legal channels.
However, if the substance is cooked up in someone's basement and sold through drug dealers, it's illegal.
合法药物被滥用 is more like prescription drug diversion, meaning legally prescribed and dispensed drugs are used for nonmedical purpose (eg, to get high). For example, someone may begin taking OxyContin for legitimate pain but become dependent and perhaps addicted, and begin to take it beyond the doctor's prescription. Or Boy A gives/sells his ADHD medication to his buddy Boy B to pass the exam.
Prescription drugs can be and are abused all the time. In fact, in the past few years, drug abuse rate has been down among youths in almost all illegal substances, but has been going up in prescription drug abuse.

The whole talk about legalizing pot really cracks me up. NYC is introducing a bill to do that, citing it is for "medical benefit". And this is the city that outlaw cigarette smoking almost everywhere! And they want to put a high "sugar tax" on soft drinks too!
I think it should remain illegal just so that when kids look for rebellion, there is a relatively safe 'buffer' drug. Otherwise they go straight to coke or meth or speed....
