1. It's important for him to reach out to other people around him. Friends and family who he trusts. Spend less time alone and more with others, EVEN IF HE DOESN'T WANT TO.
2. Seek professional help ASAP.
3. "比较易得的药物或者食物自己买来调节." If you have the energy to look for things to help yourself, GO TO THE HOSPITAL. I'm wondering if his reluctance to see a doctor/counselor or talking to other people is affected by shame and guilt.
If he is in a university, there may be school psychological counseling service that can help.
Ask him: "If you are not even afraid of death, then why are you afraid of a little embarrassment?" There is no shame to being ill. Even if other people laugh at him, tell him he always has your respect.
